David's Story

Life Let's catch up... I left dear old Naples High in the middle of my senior year, having exhausted all options and teachers I was interested in. (Remember, never end a sentence with a preposition. And avoid clichés like the plague.) I graduated from DiBacco School in Lake Worth. They let me write, direct and produce a play for my senior project. No typing, no shop. I wrote 440 stanzas in iambic pentameter. Very cool school. Back to Naples, no offers of college, which I now regret. At the time, I was drained of all enthusiasm for school. Ironic, since I spend most of my time studying now. I met my future wife in 1979. Lived on Sanibel for a while, then Tampa. In 1980, Katrina and I stuffed the kids in the car and moved to Denver, to be near her youngest. We stayed for the next 25 years or so. Two more kids in the meantime, and the lights of my life they remain: Suzanne Elena in '82, and Aaron David in '87. The move to Colorado also coincided with my introduction to antiaging nutrition and orthomolecular medicine. Katrina read Pearson and Shaw's "Life Extension" and recommended it to me. I was fascinated by the possibility of intervention into the aging process, and remain so. I began writing about discoveries in medical nutrition in 1993, and published a subscription newsletter, New Health & Longevity, for several years. Unfortunately, it was an idea whose time had almost come. I made my living in carpentry, computers, construction, automotive testing, and telephone information services. R...Expand for more
emember 900 numbers? We got rich, then burned. Quite a ride. In 2004, we stumbled on some revolutionary research into polyphenols from apples. Remarkable stuff. We couldn't buy it, so we started a business and began selling it. You can learn more at applepoly.com/nhs The short version: with the application of Apple Poly and other key antioxidants, we are reversing some symptoms of aging in ourselves and our clients. Back to the future: 2008 will be an amazing year in this field. I'm talking to doctors and researchers from all over the world about the latest research in polyphenols, antioxidants and nutrigenomics, and the future is NOW, kids. You can begin today to slow the aging process in your own body with safe, natural agents, and to reverse certain symptoms of aging. That's right, reverse. Research at Harvard, UCLA, UMass and UW is proving it, in mammals. We are doing it in humans. How cool is this? I get to work in the field of the impossible, where human beings can actually affect the rate of their own biological aging: intervening in life span and, even more exciting, preventing heart disease, cancer, and age-related decay and decline. And the best is yet to come- and soon. My job is to show people proof of the impossible. I have to tell you, I love my job. I'm 50 this year, and you're either close or you're there already. So, I have to ask... what, exactly, is your antiaging plan? If you don't have one, we need to talk. If you DO have one, let's compare notes! -David L. Kern
