David's Story
Life
Went to Purdue for BS in Computer Technology. 1977-Meet my wife, Carol Ruman. 1978-Went to work in Information Technology for Amoco at Whiting. 1979-Bought first home in Dyer. 1980-Married, Carol. 1985-Completed second BS in Supervision. 1986-Had our first son, Aaron, the ultimate student. 1987-Became Computer Operations manager for Refinery. 1988-Had our second son, Andrew, the consumate comedian. 1989-Transfered to Chemicals in Joliet to build and operate their data center. 1993-Built new home in Crown Point. 1995-Transfere...Expand for more
d to Corporate in Chicago as project lead in Desktop Support. 1998-Built and operated Y2K testing lab. 1999-Amoco bought-out/merged by/with BP. 2000-IT outsourced to SAIC. Currently working for SAIC at BPAmoco in Chicago as Project Manager in Information Technology. Both sons and I heavilty involved in Boy Scouts and both received Eagle award. Both sons away at school, Purdue in 2004 and 2006. Aaron in Pre-Vet Medicine and Andrew in general Business. 2006-Back at Whiting Refinery supporting wireless computing technology project.
