David's Story
Hello to all of my friends from N.H.S.!
I decided it was about time to update this profile...it's been a while. I must admit, I was going to let my "GOLD" membership expire...all of a sudden it was charged to my account so here I am again...oh, well. In the long run it has been worth it. Re-connecting with so many of you this last year has been a blast!
I Can't say how pleased I am that everyone seems to being do so well. We all seem to have found our good places in life.
So a quick catch up on me...I moved to New Mexico in 1996. My Father was raised here and my Paternal Grandparents were alway's here. Growing up, we would come to New Mexico for summer or Christmas vacations etc....I alway's told myself, one day I will live here. I loved New Mexico. There is something magical about this place.
Well, long story short...I came here to finish school at UNM.(I seriously needed a change of scenery)I fell in love with it here and decided I was going to stay!! Almost 13 years later I can hardly imagine myself being anywhere else. I own my home, I have a great job, that drives me nuts at times, but they treat me well. I have a loyal dog, loving friends....If I asked for much more I would come across as greedy! My blood family are fantastic...my friend families are my life blood to normalcy....yea...all is well.
If you look at the albums and pics I ha...Expand for more
ve posted here on Classmates, life has started to come full circle. It has started a whole NEW life on FB. If you are reading this and are on that site...look me up. What I have found so fascinating in the last year is that all of my "re-connects"(after almost 30 years)..have really been a case of forming NEW friendships based on the foundation of something that might have been a Hello in the hallway, or even a snub in the hallway at NHS... I love that!!!
I must give a shout out to some of the people that have kept us all together, so to speak....
Vicky Jarrin (78)...Your passion for this is un-surpassed.
Pharriest Balis (78).....We were "friendly" in school, but now you are my "friend!!!!"
Diane Dethlefsen (80), and her incredible husband David Rodrigues (72)
I do not know what I would do if you and your beautiful daughters were not in my life.....I LOVE being their "Uncle Dave".....
If it weren't for Barbara Williams...I probably would not even be here....30 years later, she is still one of my greatest friends, mentor...friend!!!
Please get in touch...here or on FB (better) ...Everyone knows that on this site you really can't say what you want to..(That's why we pay 40 bucks) try to find me with ohhhh, something like this...d a v e l e d at (that place this is HOT where you send your MAIL) and the a little DOT com.... Gonna see if that passes...
