Life From Norwalk to La Serna – two different worlds and glad I was able to experience both. At first, I felt I was cut short of my experience and friends at Norwalk. I grew up in Norwalk and I guess I still wish I had graduated with my friends there. But there were some good people at La Serna too. People I wish I would have gotten to know better and over a longer period of time. While going to school at La Serna I got a job at Country Harvest Buffet Restaurant. Previously known as King’s Table and presently known as HomeTown Buffet. The job wasn’t bad but it wasn’t glam either. The best part of the job was all the friends we all made there. Students from La Serna and some of the surrounding high schools worked there and made a sucky job worth going to. Word got out that it was fun to work at “The BUFIT” and at the end of the day it was. After graduation I pretended to go to school at Fullerton College. I passed my classes but I hardly took it seriously. A year after that, in ’94, I went to France on a church mission/experience. It was a hard place to get use to and not an easy language to master. But it was incredible. I met some of the best people there and have great memories of those two years.
