David's Story
I started working for Sears almost immediately upon graduating high school and worked there part time all through college. I graduated Memphis State in 1973 and accepted a permanent job with Sears at that time, as the existing recession made jobs hard to come by. In 1981 I moved to Atlanta with Sears, working in the Southern Territory offices. My divorce from my first wife was effective in 1983 and I married my current wife in 1984.

In 1986 Sears closed the Territorial offices across the nation and I took an assignment in the corporate offices in Chicago. I spent 20 years in Chicago and retired in July, 2006. Within 2 months I began working again with Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After 5 years with B&S my job was eliminated, so I am now 'retired' in East Tennessee (Loudon/Tellico Village) where I am getting our new home established and playing golf.
