David's Story
After leaving Kennedy, I worked at May Company at the Buena Park Mall for a while, then moved to Riverside. Shortly after that I was drafted and spent 2 years in the Army. During this time I married Monica Goblick (class of 71) and we had one son, Jesse, in 1972. After I got out of the Army, I attended Cypress College and worked at various places in north orange county. I bought my childhood home in Buena Park on Los Altos Drive in 1977, and lived there until 1991, when we moved to Norco. I started working for Shell Oil in 1980, first at the Wilmington Refinery. 00 and live in San Francisco now with my wife Linda and our three dogs, Kirby, Kosmo, and Schnecken. Still with good 'ol Shell, I'm a training professional now and will be retiring in 2010. I love living in San Francisco, but we're considering buying a vacation home in Idyllwild to spend some time in good 'ol So Cal and be close to friends and family.
So it's time for an update: I actually did retire from Shell, not in 2010 but in 2012. In August of 2013 Linda and I moved to Kona, Hawaii. We bought an old Alpaca farm in the hills above Kona, in a little place called Holualoa village. We have goats, chickens, dogs and a very happy life.
