David's Story
Life
After H.S. I put in 2 years w/o a break at a W. TX college. Burnout lead to 4 yrs in
Navy aboard an Icebreaker w/2 long visits to Artic and 1 really long Antartic voyage.
Using my vocational skills from H.S. I worked in printing, Dallas M. News, Times Herald,
Ft Worth Star Telegram, Houston Post. Then came several years managing a Dallas

Restaurant before returning to print shop work. At age 40 I started a career with the
U.S. Postal Service leading to retirement in 1997. I've been married 25 years. We met
in Dallas but have since moved to the fabulous Texas Panhandle to stay. No more
traffic, pollution or vast crowds trying to smother. I still love Cowtown as it used to be.
