David's Story
Life
Hi: I am happily married with two boys. The older (29) is a lawyer, married and currently working as a city attorney. My 26 year old is in the midst of applying to medical school. I never worked as hard as either of them.
My wife, Liz, is from Boston (we met at work) and is a biologist. I was the lucky one in catching her and am very happy in life.
I went on to engineering (Purdue), then business school (Harvard), got into the computer industry and managed to make it out to California at the start of the internet boom. I was lucky in my choices and retired for good in 2000 (just before the market went south).
I have yet to make it back to Chicago for any class reunions, but hope to the next time. Unfortunately, I have not kept up with anyone from Oak Park River Forest High. I am not sure I even remember any faces (mostly names). But that is certainly a sign of age.

ates are pilots, let me know. Would love to swap stories. After learning in a C172, I moved up to a Bonanza, then a Barron, a C90 King Air, and finally a Citation Mustang (pictured above). I recently got back into cars (which was my passion in high school). However, this time, not high-performance. I am restoring a 1952 MG TD. I also do a lot of sailing in SF Bay and off the CA coast. I am building a new boat in Europe and plan to sail that back across the Atlantic in a few years. If anyone has the experience and wants to join, let me know.
I hope everyone is having a great life! If anyone is in the San Francisco area please let me know. I live near Stanford University (in Los Altos). All my best.
College
Anyone out there who worked on the shock tube at the Jet Propulsion Center with Mellor and Sigmar? I was an undergrad and worked for two years on the project to understand the molecular mechanics of metal combustion.
