David's Story
Retired from State Government (Texas) in 2000. I was a Labor Market Analyst during my tenure with the state. Compiled and provided labor market statistical data to local governments, businesses, schools and universities. My wife, Noemi, retired from teaching (29 years) with the Weslaco ISD.
We've got two sons, Marty (29 years old) and Matthew (21). Marty is an ex-Marine and served a tour in Iraq. cently become grandparents. Matthew and his wife, Luka, had a baby boy and named him Xander. Feels great to have a grandson.
My wife and I are also very involved with our local church (Our Lady of Mercy) in Mercedes, Tx. I like to check (Classmates.com) once in a while for past Mercedes High School Graduates within the same time frame that I graduated (1965). I try to put a face on the names listed. Quite nostalgic and wonderful! Really miss seeing all of you. God Bless!
On March 17, 2009 we were blessed with another grandchild. Matthew and Luka again became proud parents of a little baby girl. Her name is Marie Evangeline Ruelas. Xander Ray Ruelas now has a sibling.
