After school I attended Grossmont College and then joined the Army for 3 years. While in Germany my mother asked a girl(Martha)to write to me and she did. I was discharged from the Army Jan 3,1967 and was married to Martha on June 10th and have been with her since. We have two daughters Carrie and Tammy who still live in the El Cajon area. We have 3 grandchildren Jacob 16, Jared 12 and Kylie 4. After the Army I went to work for Food Basket as a clerk and worked for them for seven years. I then moved on to work for the Frito Lay company as a sales driver and was with them for five years. After leaving them I started my own business called Wood Alley which lasted for a little more than a year. at point on.
I re-trained to become a welder/fabricator and worked in small shops for a few years and then went to work in the ship yards in the San Diego area. About 1985 I applied for and was accepted as a welder/fabricator for United States Navy Public Works Dep. I worked for them in several capacities till 2004 when I retired, as a supervisor, and moved to Prescott Valley Az. Due to real estate investments, stock market investments, and my goverment retirement and social security benifits, we have been able to live a comfortable life with no house payments. We also were able to build and rent a new duplex which we will use as an investment as well.
We are raising our grandson Jared and he in currently in the sixth grade at Glassford Middle School.
I am currently working 4 days a week Monday through Thursday 6 1/2 hours a day as the manager of Prescott Steel, the oldest steel business in Prescott Az. and Martha works part time for Child Abuse Arizona as a bookeeper.
