1981 - 1983 : Oregon State and the University of Oregon. B.S. in Mathematics from U of O.
1983 - 1989 : University of California at Berkeley. Ph.D. in Mathematics.
1984 : Married to Heidi. Daughters born in 1985 and 1987.
1989 - 1992 : Assistant professor of Mathematics at Holy Names College in Oakland, California.
1992 - 2004 : Software developer at ProBusiness in Pleasanton, California. In 2003, ProBusiness was acquired by ADP (Automatic Data Processing).

2007 - Present : Attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Palo Alto, California. Focus on Intellectual Property litigation.
2004 - present : Running marathons. As of December 2008, I have run 14 marathons. Best time 3:20:52.
2011 - 2018 : Remarried
2017 - Present : Partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Palo Alto, California. I work with patent offices to secure patent rights for my clients.
2021 : I sold my house. I am renting until I find the right house to buy in Berkeley.
