David's Story

T David Scott November 7 · Here's a little Ditty....Regardless of where I was or what I did, ignoring the facts will never change the facts.I was in the first 9th grade class at R. B. Stall High School.I served on the Alma Mater committee, I was a 4 year letter man in football(in Camden Junior year 1964 when I set a record three(3) consecutive-unassisted-tackles(1st,2nd,and 3rd down) at the line of scrimmage while playing linebacker in wide tackle 6,District Champs 1964 & 1965 football seasons), batting Trophy, best hitter baseball 1963-1965,played basketball, ran track,President Block"S"Club 1965-66,served 4 years hall patrol duty, captain of hall patrol senior year, various student body positions to include treasurer, vice - president of student council,Co-Captain Senior football team,Palmetto Boy's State rep, school bus driver, vice pres. French Club, and dedicated student.Charleston County 4-H member 1958-1966.News paper carrier(Post & Courier) 1958 -1966.Gold merit carrier the last year.Carrier delivery helper 1953-1957. I did not graduate from Gordon H. Garrett High School. Take pride in your diet.It may be more important now than before when we were high school students. I was the leader of the first awesome Rock & Roll band at R. B. Stall High named "The Countdowns".Members were Eddie Hamner(Public Relations),Ray Craven(Saxophone),Danny Funderburk(Lead Guitar&Singer),Randy Mills(Drums),Terry Proper(Singer),Stan Appling(Base Guitar & Singer) and myself(Rhythm Guitar & Singer). There were many comments that we sounded just like the radio. We had 6 gigs.We were done. After graduation, I received a five year Industrial Management B. S. Degree with secondaries in Textiles & Industrial Engineering from Clemson University in 1971 .I had worked part time for the University in the Electronics Engineering Research Lab,as a Rod Man for the surveying crew ,and USPS xmas help every year in Charleston. My first professional occupation in Charleston was assistant manager for Shoney's then on Savannah Highway.. I found myself supervising Coastal Pre-Release workers.I did not trust them , and resigned 10 months afterwards in 1972.I then accepted an asst .manager position with a Men's Wear shop at Northwoods Mall.It wasn't my cup of tea.I then registered to represent mutual funds. No one would listen except my Mother.I then accepted a department supervisor position with Manhattan Shirt Co. corner of then Leeds and Azalea Ave.They closed less than one year later. In 1974,In the same year, the Dept. of Defense cradled me while making an useful tool of civil service.I worked in 5 of their activities being employed by 2 at different times over a 7 year period on both west and east coasts returning to Charleston in May of 1981 after receiving multiple on the job injuries.Government red tape was that I had to resign or be financially responsible for my injuries.During that time, I received 3 letters of Appreciation and 1 Letter of Commendation. As it turned out, I had to be responsible for my injuries."I regret that I had but one life to give for my country."In my second life,I bec...Expand for more
ame a professional wedding photographer and member of " Wedding Photographers International." One result was my inventing the camera flash attachment switch.I was issued a patent and published in "Who's Who of American Inventors."This had much ado with the disposable flash cameras released back in the 80's on the market which you may have used and thrown away. During this time period, I was also a licensed Real Estate Agent. I then completed Tractor-Trailer Driver Training 10/10/86 at Alliance Corporation in Arden N.C.Next, I was a professional Bassmaster for a year.I sold the bass boat winnings which funded my registering as a series 7 and 24(stock broker manager) and served in the securities industry for about 10 years. My parents depended greatly upon my companionship before, during, and after Hurricane Hugo devastation in 1989, I picked up the reign for my father who was ran over by a tractor while trying to farm alone in 1992.Nineteen years later, after a very long fight, he passed in the Spring of 2011. I attended Mickey Mantle's funeral service in Dallas, Texas August 15,1995.Does anyone know where the funeral program I brought back is? I will continue this story at a later time ,I must go feed the cattle. In 2001,I was accepted into the RN program at Trident Technical College.I completed two Labs: Driftwood (now Riverside ) and Health South. My Mother fell ,while alone ,in a grocery store parking lot and shattered her knee cap into 4 parts while I was in Driftwood lab.I was one of the first at the accident scene and only relative.Next morning,I told the lab I may have to leave early .I was shouted that I had to decide between my Mother and the nursing program. It was an easy decision to make. The surgeon inserted a figure 8 wire into her knee cap to hold in place for healing. I am in my first and last marriage with 14 year and 11 year old sons in my 14th year of marriage.II can't add more information at this time because my family is being terrorized by the S.C. Department of Social Services. After 10 months of being terrorized by the S.C. Department of Social Services , they captured my two sons .I am going to need a great deal of help recovering them to my wife and I where they belong and with zero psychiatric help.Near me is BlueFlamelight.com . As I was included in the International Who's Who in Poetry,I was awarded Editor's Choice Award in The International Library of Poetry in 2007.The weather keeps changing!! It tends to be quiet down on the farm and my 97 year old mother still enjoys day dreaming.I am not affiliated with sexy singles other than it may seem that I am.With that in mind, I want to say hello to everyone who has visited my profile and wishing you the best life has to offer.Wind speed in your favor. If you are clear to contribute to the fundraiser, please do not hesitate. As said,it is looking back that sometimes helps us remember what matters most.
