David's Story
As of July 2014:
I lived in Cocoa Beach from 1960 through 1968 at 1011 Bali Road in Cocoa Isles. Attended Edgewood Junior High on Merrit Island (8th & 9th grade) before there were schools in Cocoa Beach. Attended 10th grade at brand new Cocoa Beach HS (1964-1965). Father George Serbe was a Lutheran minister who started, and later built, the Lutheran Church on the little island off Minuteman Causeway. on AB, Madrid, Spain (73-76, 79-84, & 88-92), Homestead AFB, Miami (70-73), MacDill AFB, Tampa (76-79), Eglin AFB, FL (84-88); still civil service [Gov. contracting] at Eglin since 1993. Married 38 yrs, 2 sons [1 married]. Wife is from Valencia, Spain, and since the USAF I've been back to visit Spain in 96, 98, 02, 05, 07, 09 (Christmas), 10 (Christmas), and Mar 2012. Currently live in Niceville, FL - next to Eglin AFB, Destin & Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Friends from CB & CBHS (1964-1968) included Lewis Bean, John Longacre, John Villarosa, Rob Groo, Kirk Hubbard.
