David's Story
Personal: married, 2 kids, 1grandchild
Professional: 35 year career in the NJ Dept. of Corrections, as a staff member, not an inmate. Worked at Trenton Prison, NJ Training School for Boys in Jamesburg, and Rahway State Prison. 28 of the 35 years were at Rahway.
At Rahway, got to meet Stallone, who did a movie there in the winter of 1988. e Prison in the mid `80s, I was Supervisor of Education, then an Executive Assistant to the Warden, a paper pushing job without major responsibilities but a great vantage point from which to learn and observe. And, at times, I could be really useful. I guess the major thing about working in Corrections is what you learn about human behavior in a very strange setting, and what you learn about yourself, dealing with that strange setting. I`m glad I had the opportunities I did.
If any of you remember me at all (and why would you?) drop me a line and we`ll schmooze.

One of the teachers I hired had congenital heart issues. She had incredible courage and I have always admired her.
