David's Story
After graduating I went on to a very long and happy career in Law Enforcement. I spent 30 years on the Harwood Heights Police Department, the last 16 of which was with the rank of Lieutenant. I retired in 2007.
I was married for 17 years (no children) but went through a divorce in 2000.
My free time for most of my life has been spent traveling and have had the good fortune to have been all over the world. I recently returned from a photographic safari to the Kruger National Park in South Africa.
I also developed a love of cooking and writing. I have put both of these activities to use because after my retirement I went back to a true love of mine, photography. I currently have two photography business, one by myself where I shoot for 10 world wide stock photo agencies specializing in food and landscape photography. I also have a business with my cousin in Beverly Hills, California. We travel the world doing photography workshops and are writing books on photography. Currently I have written three books on photography, one dealing with stock photography, one on food photography and one on portrait photography.
When I am not busy with my photography I enjoy making one of a kind furniture pieces.
I also enjoy genealogy and have traced my family history as far back as the 1300's and have created of database of over 6,000 ancestors and related people. I also wrote a book about the family history that is located in many of the genealogy libraries around the country.
Currently I live in Bloomington, Illinois with my wife Lori (we were married almost 3 years ago. We came here to watch two of our five grandchildren.
