David's Story
Well, nobody may remember me, because I dropped out in October of 76, which in itself was both stupid and the best thing I ever did. Joined the Navy, spent 5 years and visited about 5 countries, the Artic Circle, etc. Looking back, had a blast but didn't think of it all the time as that. The old saying, join the Navy, see the world, but they do forget to tell you that 75% of the world is water :-) But I wouldn't trade those years for anything, nothing like growing up quick. ter several tours in the mideast, one son working for microsoft and a daughter who seems to be here ever day. 3 grandkids, 2 girls, 1 boy, 1 boy and 1 girl almost 9 and 1 girl at the 6 age range. All live close to us here in Arlington and wouldn't have it any other way, well, most of the time anyways.
Like I said, I only remember a few because I really hated going to school so wasn't there much as there were other things better in the world, or so I thought at the time. End result was awesome, so no complaints, other than its hard to believe that its been 40 years...time flies fast for sure
