David's Story
Life
I graduated from Cap and spent the summer playing music with the Bedouins. Just as I was about to attend school the band signed a record deal, moved to Hollywood and became The Grass Roots. After leaving The Roots I played bass for the Serpent Power in San Francisco we released an album in 1967. I got married to Melania Krumm (Cap68) had a daughter Amber, divorced, moved to Oregon, got married had two more daughters Autumn and Thea, divorced and married again. Third time is a charm? gh school until my youngest daughter entered school a work as a musician most of the time. Between bands I worked for wholesale nurseries in our area. In 1982 I began working on a golf course as a greenskeeper. In 1986 I got my first golf course superintendents position at a private country club. After 15 yrs in golf I worked for the Parks and Recreation dept in the city of Portland. Turf Maintenance was my game. Now retired.
