David's Story
Life
After High School Graduation in 1966, I left home to attend Fresno Pacific College in Fresno CA. In 1972, I graduated with a BA in Psychology with a minor in geography.
In 1969, I married SueAnn, a girl I met on the third day of College. She was from Salem OR and in the fall of 1972, we moved to her hometown where we reside to this day. In 1975, I went to work for the Housing Authority of the City of Salem as a Housing Assistance Representative. I am still employed there as of this writing and looking forward to retiring in 2-4 years.
SueAnn and I have a longarm machine quilting business that we operate out of our home. SueAnn works as she is able in the business and I help out.
We have three children currently pushing 30 or already there and 5 grandchildren, all boys except for our baby daughter born in 1975. The oldest grandchild was born in 1991 and the youngest in 2002.

ed to be involved musically in the churches I have attended. I began teaching myself Guitar in High School and have played all my life since then. At the ripe old age of 40, I began taking drum lessons and subsequently played drums for our worship band for 10 years. I am currently working on developing my Guitar skills.
In 1976, my wife and I bought an old craftsman style house in West Salem and began remodelling it. Over the years, we have converted a one bath 2 story house with basement and about 1400 sq ft of living space into 3000 sq ft on three floors with 3 bathrooms. Often, the remodelling scene has been the biggest stressor in our marriage and I don't recommend it. But the home we have today, we truly enjoy and we did it with our own hands.
I hope to retire by 2010. We will operate our home based business and spend time with the grandkids and kick back a little bit. I'm learning to Quilt with the Longarm machine and enjoying it a lot.
