David's Story
Life
Currently I am enjoying being semi-retired after 39 years of teaching technical drawing/AutoCAD at King Philip High School in Wrentham, MA. Right now I wallpaper and paint part time after working for the new LL Bean that opened in Mansfield. I own a condo in Norton, MA where I live with my best friend Bob and being a resident of Massachusetts, we were able to legally marry on 8/22/2004. Last year we traveled to the islands of St. Michael, Pico and Faial in the Azores which is Bob's birthplace. The islands are beautiful and unspoiled by tourism, and the seafood is the best. This past September we flew to London for three days then on to Italy where we visited Pisa, Venice, Portofino, Cinque Terre, Tuscany and Rome. (More excellent food.) We hav...Expand for more
e traveled to CA, Nova Scotia and visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in PA but most of the time we enjoy cooking at home and eating the heart-healthy food we cook.
My 1951 MGTD has been restored for the second time in 35 years. This time was a complete ground-up restoration. It now belongs to Ski Raymond and is no longer green but wears a new shiny coat of black paint. It has been shown at several car shows and now wins "Best of Show" wherever it has been shown. After many years of skiing in Aspen, Park City, Snowbird, Squaw Valley, Heavenly Valley, the Canadian Rockies as well as NH and VT, my doctor has advised me to stop breathing the cold air. All has made many happy memories.
