David's Story
Just want to say HI to all of the class of 1972
After school I went into the Air Force and became a firefighter.
I got to travel to some exotic places and had a blast.
People shooting at you was just an added extra!!!!
I was married for 11 years and now divorced with 2 kids. Amber is 29 and Kyle is 26.
I have lived in Northwest Florida since 1978 and I love it here. "
"Just another day in Paradise"
I have been a firefighter for the last 38 years and I am close to hanging up the bunker gear for good.
Just a quick update..............................
I have now retired from firefighting and I started my second career as a 911 dispatcher.
I love the new job and I get to stay close to the guys I worked with for so many years.
It is wonderful!!!
I am looking for places to retire to and cause some more trouble. The Caribbean is the place to go.
The class of '72 just had a small reunion here this past October. Just a few of us showed up but we did have a great time.
That is it in a nutsheel.
Maybe some more to follow...........you never know!!!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Gil Yule, because h...Expand for more
e was an amazing inspiration to me and my life to come..
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my kids and my friends, then spend the rest on an island, a boat and retirement.
My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be way OLD. I was so completely wrong, you are only as old as you feel..
Oldest friend.............how we met and why we clicked........
Mary Brooks.................we met at Forman. I loved her from the moment I saw her but that was only from afar. She was my roommate girlfriend so she was an untouchable but she has always been and always will be in my heart. Over the years we have grown closer than I ever thought we could be. She has been there for me through the good stuff and the bad and never criticized.
My first job was at Pianteri's Lunchonette, where I got paid 89 cents an hour to make hoagies and cook and clean. What I remember most about it is early hours, John P was a ball buster but gave me the work ethic I still use today..
I always wanted to be a Firefighter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dream idea. As it turns out, they were WRONG!!!!!.
