David's Story
Life
A lot has happened since graduation.
From high school I went into the National Guard, and eventually decided to go active Army, which allowed me to take a three year vacation in Hawaii.
My military job was what would be called on the outside a para-legal, but in the military it's a legal specialist.
(fast forward)
I have been working for the past 13 years for Russell Publishing Company, until it was sold a year ago to Anderson Publishing. Which is where I got my big break.
I was the Sports Editor until June of 2002, when I was unfortunately laid off because of the economy.
I am married and we have four children. Our only daughter got married this past April and moved out of town so that's one more long distance pho...Expand for more

I am out of Russell and working as the Sports Editor for the Southwest Daily Times in Liberal, KS. I also own a Karaoke and DJ business which I have been building on for the past 3 years. Officially with my brother, but I had to fire him.
Unlike most KJ's I don't charg and arm and your first born. My rates are very reasonable compared to what a live band would cost. And I'm negotiable (I can work cheap).

Workplace
I have recently gone back to the sports department and will be covering not just the Russell athletic events, but other areas as well, i.e. Lucas-Luray, Natoma, Hoisington/Claflin, Victoria etc.
I'm also in the advertising department so you could say I'm multitasking.
