David's Story
Aug 2019 I moved to Oklahoma in August 2018 . I bought an 80 acre farm and am in the process of reviving it. It hasn’t been farmed for a long time so there wan a lot to be done before I could get it ready. I have mended all the fences and picked up some cows at an auction. I cleaned the stock ponds and dammed up a ravine to make a larger pond and stocked it with fish. I have been there almost a year but still have a lot of work to do. I should have a small working cattle ranch and farm by this time next year. Things are going great here on the farm, harvested our first hay crop and kept enough to feed our cows and sold the rest. Cleared 40 acres for more hay next year. Should get 3 cuttin...Expand for more

Feb 2022. Doing well here in Oklahoma, It is a great state in which to live. I left just before WW2 started and lived in California until moving to Oregon after My Wife passed away in 2012. I have been back in Oklahoma since Aug 2018 and will make this my home for the remainder of my life. Just turned 89 and am still getting along fine, still have all my hair, although it is almost white now . I use a Cane for walking to help me maintain my balance . I hope there are a lot of my class mates still around and that you will drop me a line to let me know how you are doing. I recently heard that my best friend from Ashland and Hayward had passed away. Vaughn Hitchcock was his name.
