I went to school in Oakland from K through 9. My freshman year was at Indian Hills but my family moved to Saratoga Springs, NY after that. I was very unhappy that I did not get to graduate and finish high school with everyone that I grew up with. I have registered here because I am curious as to what my childhoold friends are like as adults. I don't know if anyone remembers me (after three days not a single email or hit on my page) but when I went through the Indian Hills listing I recognized many names. I guess I will have to start sending messages and overcome my shyness. As a newbie here I realize that not everybody checks this site every day just to see if David Wyder is here (laughing not out loud). To continue my Oakland story my family first lived on Nokomis Avenue, then moved to Lakeshore Drive and our last residence was 29 Monhegan Avenue. I have many fond memories of my childhood and the people I grew up with in school. I had fun fishing with our neighbors across the street, loved playing baseball and basketball and having a tree fort in the backyard. When I left Oakland I had long hair so the "then" picture above was probably taken in the 7th grade. When I moved from Oakland to Saratoga Springs I was never able to adjust to the new town. I wanted to go back to Oakland and my friends. I became a loner and dropped out of school there in my junior year. Wanting to move back...Expand for more
