David's Story
I followed my father¿s footsteps by enlisting in 1979 after high school. My twenty year career consisted of enlistments in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard. My duty stations consisted of Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX., USMC Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville NC., USMC Air Station Kaneohe Bay, HI., USCG Cutter Point Jackson in Woods Hole, Ma., USCG Air Station Cape Cod, Ma., USCG Air Station Sacramento, Ca., USCG Air Station Elizabeth City, NC., USCG Recruiting Office Mobile AL., USCG Aviation Training Center Mobile, AL., and USCG Aviation Repair and Supply Center Elizabeth City, NC.

My Personal achievements include the USCG Recruiting 100 % Club, The Award in USCG Reserve recruiting, Outstanding Achievement USCG Recruiting, Outstanding Achievement USCG Reserve Recruiting, Sector Recruiting Office of the year, awarded the Key to the City-Elizabeth City NC, The Cosmopolitan Club Hero of the year, The ANA (Association of Naval Aviation) award, Two NHA (Naval Helicopter Association) awards, and the Sun n Fun Lone Eagle Award (EAA). Among the many citations I have received are the USMC Meritorious Mast, National Defense Service Medal, and Distinguished Flying Cross with Extrodinary Heroism.
I graduated from Excelsior College of New York in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in administraion management.
I retired as a Rescue Swimmer in the US Coast Guard. You can read about me in the new book "So others may live" You can also see some of my life lived out on the big screen in the movie "The Guardian". My best friend "Dennis Post" and I stil stay in touch. He is now a very high ranking law enforcement official in Florida.
