Life
Doha, Qatar 2005 - ?
My wife and I are currently living and working in Qatar. We are both working as a U.S. contractors. We live in a three bedroom bungalow. It is located in a gated community near the Doha golf course, of which, unfortunately, I never seem to have much time to visit.
There are a few large malls here. Two of the malls have ice skating rinks. There are theaters located all over town. It is really a nice place to live. My only complaint is the traffic. I have driven in Turkey, France, Korea, Boston, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and I...Expand for more
will have to say that the only traffic worse than here is Kuwait.
We have a small dog, Maltese, and an aquarium full of fish. We haven't much time during the day for either since we both work twelve hours a day six days a week.
We have met a lot of great people in the last few years and unfortunately we have lost contact with many of them. As a contractor one never knows where work will be from year to year. So we have been fortunate to have remained in Qatar as long as we have. I do not yet know when we will return to the states for good.
