David's Story
Dave is married to Jackie Compton Anders (1990) and have 4 children. He graduated from Burges High School in 1977 where he played football and baseball and was on the student counsel. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin (B.S. Advertising) in 1983, worked in the Austin and San Antonio until he enlisted in U.S. Army in 1986. years he as served in the 2d Infantry Division (Korea), 1st Ranger Battalion (Savannah, GA), 1st Cavalry Division and III Corps Long Range Surveillance Company (Fort Hood, TX), Ranger Training Brigade (Fort Benning, GA), 10th Mountain Division (Fort Drum, NY), 82d Airborne Division (Fort Bragg, NC), 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) (Fort Myer, VA) and today serves in the Pentagon as the U.S. Army's Deputy Chief, Legislative Liaison.
