David's Story

I was different, did not quite fit in. My Maternal grandmother and Grand father father were born in Poland. On my fathers side of the family moved to Toledo from Jacksonville Florida I believe at the turn of century. Our heritage plays an important role in our lives. Our genes are part of that. We are prone to colon Caner, high withe curse of too much cholesterol I had one or two close friends in high school. To top it of two otwo have Hasd problems with the nerves of the heart. Even though we may have big hearts, they can fail, The process of getting a pace make is painless. I feel so much better since I had one implant 2 weeks ago. I had Little interaction with fella studnets. No club involvement. My parents graduated from Central and step-grandmother taught at Whittier. My father owned the soda fountain across from Central "Jack's Campus Corner". There he started his concession and popcorn business. I went to MSU and found it enlightening. The education I gained there has served me well throughout my life. Perspective is everything. I know the importance of human kinds early history on the planet. When I reflect back on my life and those I have met along the way, I marvel, enough for two life times. I inherited...Expand for more
my fathers abilities more than my mother's . He always knew what the he needed to do to succeed in his business. In 2000, I was diagnosed as Bi Polar Mood disorder type 2. The only reason that the manual of disorders exist is to focus on function and the ability to existed as a reasonable member of Society. Interesting that the symptoms of extreme stress mimic those of Type 2 Bi polar. Stress has been a notable part of my life over the last 25 years. Colleagues and friends from the past have gone on to become famous writers, governors and victims of HIV/AIDS. I was mentored by the first two women to be married by Gavin Newsom in San Francisco. I belonged to Glide Methodist. That is an organization/foundation that has had a huge impact on many of us, who as a result have gone forth and have done our bit. I have been interviewed as part of a Seattle Gay history project. That was an emotional experience. I always wanted to be a gardener when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a deadend street idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Obessions dearest are my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Dorm life was interesting. Gave haircuts, sold popcorn and moved out as soon as possible. Thats when the adventure began
