David's Story
Life
My career has been primarily in the media business on both coasts. My first job, after graduation from U of O was with an advertising agency in NYC. From there I spent many years in the TV business in FL, PA, GA and CA. I ended up in LA and fell in love with the lifestyle and with a couple of exceptions I have remained in SoCal for many years. I now live in the desert near Palm Springs in semi-retirement (how did I get this old?) and enjoy traveling with my partner, Tom. We have been together for 17 yea...Expand for more
rs and have been fortunate enough to travel to many exotic spots around the world. We like travel so much that we bought a couple of travel agencies a few years ago but sold them after we realized that all work and no money made a dull existence. My two boys, Rob and Richard from my marriage to Barbara (Gerlinger), both live in CA. Barbara and I are still good friends. In fact, she also lives in the desert. It's difficult to put a lifetime into a few sentences but it's been pretty wonderful for the most part.
