As you can tell from the "now & then" photos I have always been in the newspaper business. I started delivering papers in 1968 for the "Evening Tribune" and went to work as an employee within a month of leaving Patrick Henry. I have had many different jobs at the paper over the last 38 years. Currently I do Field Support, a fancy name for helping people understand and navigate all the different technologies we use for home delivery. It has been an interesting road since leaving Patrick Henry. I attended San Diego State for a few years working on a degree in Industrial Arts. It took me a while to figure out Industrial Arts majors were being groomed to become teachers. NOT to work in industry which was my goal. As is so often the case, the path I did not want ended up being my career! I worked with young newscarriers from 1977 to 1991. Then on to adult carriers for another 10 years.
