David's Story
Life
I bet nobody will recognize me. I moved after graduation to the suburbs of Phoenix - actually, to a small town named Gilbert(which later became the fastest growing city in the U.S.A.) In 2001, I graduated from Chandler-Gilbert Community College, With HONORS and an Associates in General Studies. In 2004, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Geology with a Minor in Spanish. From the very beginning of 1999, I have been employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Route Carrier. Throughout it all, I have persued my musical dream on the side - sometimes tasting the tiniest hint of success before it is gone. I have become mutifaceted and very eccentric. After making a couple poor choices, I am still headed in the right direction with my life. Patience is a virtue.
School
High School could sometimes be very painful. However, if I could do it all over again, I would do it.
College
College was crazy. I went to two separate community colleges and to the unive...Expand for more
rsity. I lived at home most of the time, but I was always so busy with things. I would be working part-time (doing god knows what), going to school full-time, playing and managing my own metal band (which gigged in and out of state a lot), and going out with one of the four girls I've steadily seen during the last eight years.
Let me just say, I value my education. I graduated from the community college level with around 120-130 hours of classes. My knowledge is extremely well rounded and balanced. I studied everything from philosophy and religion to calculus and physics. I furthered this at the University level, where I first struggled as a physics major. When I finally I settled in at ASU, I was studying the earth, its history, its processes, and also a romance language in great detail. I had a plethera of conversational classes and a number of rigorous literature and grammar classes. Overall, I am very satisfied with the education I attained and the experience I had during that period of time.
