David's Story
I am a retired chemical engineer living in Mobile, AL. My wife Barbara and I are still married after 49 years. I have two daughters 48 and 44. The first is not married currently and the second is. (updated 2021-02)
I graduated from ASU in 1967 and went to graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis. I got a M.Sc. but quit working on a doctorate in chemical engineering when my adviser and I were no longer on the same page.
I worked for all of my career for engineering & construction contractors along the Gulf Coast. The time was equally split between Texas and Mobile, Alabama. I worked oversea...Expand for more
s a couple of times - two years in the Western Desert of Egypt for the construction of a large gas plant and three months in Perth, Australia on the design of a titanium dioxide plant.
I enjoyed the work I did but even more I enjoyed the experiences of working with people on design teams solving both technical and personal problems.
Life has been good and I have been blessed beyond anything I could repay.
We lived in St. Louis from 2000 - 2020 to be close to my mother in law. She has relocated to where my wife's sister lives so we moved to Mobile to be close to our younger daughter. (updated 2021-02)
