David's Story
Life
For those of you who don't know, I graduated a year early from high school. Attended DMACC for diesel technology. Graduated from that in December '86 (see work bio). Got married to Sue Gover (UHS class of '83) in '87. We have three kids, Emily ('91), Ian ('92), and Becky ('98). Lived in Urbandale for a year and then bought a house in Polk City. We love our location so much that instead of moving to a larger house, we added a second story. Going to have to take up golf since Arnold Palmer is building a golf course across the street from us. in Hawaii, thanks to Sue's parents who watched the kids. Did a fly in fising trip in Canada in 2001 with my brother-in-law. In 2002 I had laser eye surgery. It is well worth the money. Well that is about it up to now.
Workplace
I worked at TMC (the black semi's) while I went to DMACC. After I graduated, I went to work for Cummins Great Plains Diesel. Worked nights until '93. Then I went into field service and worked on Ag tractors and mining equipment until '99. I then moved onto the generator side and am still there today. Servicing, repairing, and installing them.
