Went to College for a few years, later did one tour of duty in the USAF where I did a few years of schooling as well as hands on to become an Avionics Technician and continued in this career field to today, to try to give the taxpayers their money's worth after spending a quarter of a million dollars on my education and subsistence by helping keep the flying public safe. My first civilian job in this field was on the C17 at what is formerly McDonnell Douglas when it was in development. During furlough I was able to work at such places as Gulfstream, Bombardier, and a few FBOs getting my feet into corporate and private jets. I was hired by Boeing just before the merger and was able to get credit for my McDonnell Douglas time for service and retirement.
