David's Story
Good gracious time has flown by ! It does not seem like I have been in the work force long enough to retire, but guess what ? I have, and I did ! Retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, after working for 29 years. It was quite a journey. Started as a Corrections Officer and worked my way through the ranks to finish as a Senior Warden. In this position I was assigned to the Estelle Unit and was responsible for the safety and security of 4,000 Offenders and 1,089 Employees. What a challenge. I found it very rewarding though. As I said, I retired on February 10, 2012. Then after enjoying my two days of retirement, I started my new career on February 13, 2012, working for BAUER / PILECO as the Director of Diesel Hammer and RTG business unit.
Enough about me, let's talk ...Expand for more
about my beautiful family; Gina and I have been married for 19 years and have raised 2 wonderful children. Gina has also maintained a career with TDCJ as the Executive Assistant to the CFO and she has made me very proud of her accomplishments. Kristin; our daughter is 27 years old and is married to Gordon Mizrany, who is a Conroe Fire Fighter. Kristin is a Nurse and does a great job and is very caring. She and her husband have given birth to our first grandchild ( Addison ) with another on the way. Additionally, Gina and I have a 13 year old son named Justin, boy is he a chip off the old block. He too makes us very proud !
As of April 2012, we will be moving to our 3 story new home on Lake Conroe and boy we can't wait ! Looking forward to many more chapters in this beautiful life !
