David's Story
Life
My career in bioinformatics has been very successful, and I am excited about the direction that other aspects of my life are going. I have dated several people for different periods, and yet none of them have worked out in the long run. I was a Southern Baptist in high school, but I left the church during college and stayed away from religion entirely for the next decade. Since 2003, I have been a Unitarian Universalist, and I've found that this is a church I can both respect and consider home.

I enjoyed my time in student government at Washington, although it dispelled my belief that I'm destined to be a nice guy.
Workplace
I'm an assistant professor at Vanderbilt University Medical School. I began building my group at the Mass Spectrometry Research Center in 2005, and I received my first federal grant funding in 2006.
