David's Story

Life David Wedge is currently Lead Scientist and Research Plant Pathologist with the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service at The Thad Cochran National Center for Natural Products Research on the campus of the University of Mississippi. Dr. Wedge worked at Clemson University for two years in the Department of Plant Pathology and Physiology and was instrumental in developing the Clemson University Plant Medicine and Toxicology Initiative. Dr. Wedge’s primary responsibility is discovery and early assessment of natural products for pest and disease management with low toxicological and environmental risk. Dr. Wedge is a nationally and internationally recognized authority on finding fungicides and natural products from natural sources for disease management. He has authored or co-authored two patents, more than 75 publications that include more than 35 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, 10 invited book chapters, 10 research proceedings, and other articles.
