David's Story
After finishing HHS I attended the University of Alabama where I finished my Masters in 1971. I went to work at Minor high School as a counselor for a few years then on to Rogers Vocational School as an administrator. The last eight years of my educational life I was the Director of Technical Education for the Jefferson County Board of Education. After twenty five years in education I retired and took a job with the Jefferson County Housing Authority where I was the Director of Housing Operations. rty and do a little consulting for other housing authorities. I am married to Shirley Stephenson who is a graduate from Woodlawn '66, Birmingham Southern BS. and Montevallo MS. After retiring from the Jefferson County Board of Education she started her second career. She is currently the Senior Vice President for Education Corporation of America in charge of national curriculum compliance. We have two sons. Ron Beasley who is a dentist in Vestavia and Paul Wilkinson who is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Amirello Texas. We have four beautiful grand children.
