David's Story
I am now, and in a way I always have been, a human canonball. But I always wanted to be a ham skinner.
My brother Jay and I built our own zip line when we were 12 or 13. We tied a garden hose from the top of our 30 ft. high TV antenna to the chain link fence out back. We would climb up the tower, hang a dish towel over the hose and slide down and crash into the back fence feet first. Sometimes your feet would go under the chain link fence and dig a bloody trench in your leg. It was big fun. Until the hose broke.

We loaded our own shotgun shells back in the day and we always had 3 gallon cans of green and red dot gunpowder in the garage. Once Jay and I spent the entire day injecting gunpowder with my mom's turkey baster down a giant anthill in the field just east of Arlans. At dusk we lit our masterpiece and molten ants flew into the twilight sky in a fountain of flaming destruction. Then the field caught on fire. My first court date.
