76 going on 77...how in the hell did we get this old so soon? I have been retired, formally, since August 2020. Bored! Had a life changing event at the end of 2019, open heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic, then in and out of hospitals in Columbus for about 4 months. Wasn't fun. Complications dealing with medicines, which resulted in my left foot becoming nonfunctional. Makes some this difficult, but doing OK. Over my working lifetime, ended up being the Chief Investment Officer for a small financial planning and investment management firm in Columbus. ate University and served for 6 years on the Alumni Advisory Council, 2 years as the chairman. Both of these extra curricular activities were extremely rewarding and very fulfilling. Got married. Got divorced. Nuff said. I live with a beautiful Yellow Lab named Jester. He was preceded by Goose, Maverick, Merlin and Cougar, all labs. Unfortunately, Cougar, a gift from the Board of Trustees of Beta Theta Pi died while I was in the hospital. For you dog lovers, you know the emotional pain. That's all for now. Zanesville and Middletown year books bring back so many great memories. It was a fun time to be in high school. The world was understandable and a lot more sane than now. Over and out!
