Life
Gosh, how do you recount the past twenty-odd years of your life? After graduating from AHS in 84, I went to DePauw University- serious culture shock! After all those late nights downtown at the Flair, they told me I wasn´t allowed to drink! I still can´t get over that- I became quite clever at making imaginary ID cards until I turned 21. But even that is over now- the last time a lady carded me, I was 29- I nearly jumped over the counter to give her a kiss. Anyhow, I graduated from DePauw in 1988. ar. In the meantime, Mom & Dad settled down near Rothenburg, so after that year, I decided to attend medical school in Germany for a year- only by this time I decided that I wanted to do veterinary medicine instead- still floating, still floating.... Anyhow, I started studying at the Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich and had such a great time that I decided to stick it. I graduated from there in 1995 and started working in an equine only practice (that´s horses only for all you non-horsey people). I moved to England on a whim in 1997 and after working for some good people, set up an equine surgery of my own in 2000. Whistlejacket Equine Surgery has been a real long hard slog for me, a proper labour of love. It hasn´t been all work though, and in 2004 I finally decided to marry an English girl. I suppose that should seal my fate over here, at least for the next few years. But who knows, I keep thinking that horse practice in India good be a bit of fun!
