Dawn's Story
Life
* After graduating from PHS in 1992 I moved to Pullman to attend WSU. After a few changes I majored in Psychology and Education.
* I married a man I met at WSU named, Lance, in June 1995. We settled in Tri-Cities, Wa. Lance taught high school, and I taught pre-school for a while before we got burned out and opened our own construction company.
* We tried for 3 1/2 years to have a baby before deciding to adopt. A day after I finished all the paperwork and sat thru 60 hours of foster/adoption classes, SURPRISE, I was pregnant! Our beautiful baby girl, Chamberlyn, was born in January 2000. She is my everything.
* After years of being misdiagnosed about my migraines I found a Doctor who wouldn't give up on me. In 2002 I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease. Just think, all the years of pain simply because a...Expand for more
tick got in my hair during game of war/hide-go-seek in the Tay Terrace woods.
*My Mom and I are co-writing a novel about our journey with Lyme Disease and it's Co-infections. So people can see the disease through the patients and care givers eyes. I am battling hard and getting better everyday.
* I'm also working on the writing and illustrating of 3 childrens books.
* After 12 years Lance and my marriage came to an end. Greatfully on good terms. I'm ready to get out there again. There's just not alot of places to meet people in the Tri-Cities.
* For those who remember my brother Chad. He and my handsome 11 year old nephew are doing great while living in Spokane.
