Dawn's Story
Well... some may have known that my dad was a "little" over protective. So after I graduated, I left for the Air Force. When I got to Basic Training (after I had enlisted) I called my dad and told him "if you loved me you would come get me) Ha! then they showed me pretty pics of the beach and asked if I wanted to get stationed there. Of course I said "Yes!" Well, that was in Turkey. Duh, me. so I went there for Desert Storm. After that I came home and had my oldest son Dalton, who is now 14. I married in 2006 to a "Yankee" in the Army. We traveled to Texas, NC, and WA state. In between that I traveled to Italy, Sicily, Portugal, Korea and other places I can't mention :) Between that time I had Meagan-Leigh in 1999 and Dustin in 2001. Spet 11th) I got a phone call to pack and be ready in 8 hrs. So I was gone and so my husband, my mother-in-law was great and came to the rescue and stayed with the kids. I got out of the Air Force in 2003. I needed to be home with the kids for awhile. So Jeff stayed in the Army. We made it back to Augusta and he got stationed at FT Gordon and then he was sent to Iraq (twice) The 2nd time he found a new "friend" Well, we divorced and later I met and married a "Local guy" He is so good with the kids and they love Jack alot! And Jack and I have a 5 month old Jackson. I work at an elementary school here as a parapro (it's great I am on the kids schedule) nothing like the Air Force. Don't get me wrong I loved the Air Force but the kids and me needed our turn together!
