Dawn's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended Ball State majoring in Physical Education. During my junior year, while on Spring Break in North Carolina, I met my husband. We were married in December 1989.
We moved around a few times and settled in Terre Haute. I finished my BA in Management and earned my MBA. I am now a stay-at-home Mom to Michael who is 4 and Erin who is 2.
My husband works at the Federal Penitentuary here in Terre Haute and just retired with 20 years in the Army/Army Reserves. He recently completed a 14 month tour of duty in Iraq in 2003-2004.

We have recently moved to Raleigh NC. My husband was transferred down here with his job. What a difference from Indiana. It is nice though in the winter. No snow at all. I could get used to that. I am now a professor at Ivy Tech Community College. I teach distance education classes in the Business Division. Michael is now 7 and Erin is 5. Both kids will be in school full-time in August. In September I begin the Ph.D program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Look forward to hearing from you all. It sure has been a long time.
