Moved to Las Vegas in 2015 and loving life here! Curt and I stayed with my sister and brother in law Pat and Phil. We had jobs within 2 months. Curt works at Aria resort and casino, and I picked up a part time job around the corner at Walmart Neighborhood, a grocery store. We moved into our new home and mile away from Pat and Phil. I had a great time with my co workers and management treated me well. I got to know my customers and had fun with them. I enjoyed helping the kids with math when Mom and Dad let them buy a candy bar or a toy. The education system is poor out here, and I just wanted to help the kids wherever I could. After 2 years, I retired, and spend a lot of time with family and have been able to get back to quilting. Pat and Phil drove across country in July 2017 to visit family and friends. They convinced Shannon, my daughter, to move back here and follow them out. My sister Robin heard about the trip, and offered to help Shannon with the driving. They stopped to see family in Memphis and many sights along the way including the Grand Canyon. They got here late at night, so when they drove over the mountain to the Las Vegas valley, they saw the whole valley lit up. A beautiful sight!
