Dawn's Story
Married my 8th grade sweetheart, Brad. Been married for 30 years--hardest job in the world is a good marriage. Have two kids, Brian, age 22 and a junior in college majoring in journalism and marketing; Lesley, age 20 and a sophomore in college in the school of nursing. LIved in Mishawaka until age 39, moved to Denver, Colorado, for 4 years. Moved to Northville, Michigan, in 2000. , for 8 months in 2004. We all visited--wonderful opportunity. His job keeps him traveling the world, but home base is Michigan. We will not retire here though--not a great place as far as weather is concerned. We live 20 minutes northeast of Ann Arbor.
Since kids are pretty much gone, I chose to work full-time for our local government office. Hate shopping and not a 'lunch bunch' kind of person so working is fine. With two kids in college, it gives me something to do.
