Dawn's Story
I don't really see that many people I use to know. I had some pretty tough teenage years. I managed to get through and graduate. I thought that was a pretty big achievement for me considering everything I went through. I have moved on, gotten married, and had three boys.
After having my third I decided to go back to school. My neighbors encouraged me, because they thought I had a real gift for teaching. I had just finished teaching art to home schooled children that year. I started off with Quincy College. It turns out I like school now. Who knew? I moved onto Curry College. I received my Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in Ed. Psych. and had a GPA of 3.55. Now I am going for my Masters through Bridgewater State College for teaching children with Moderate Special Needs, gr. 5-12.
This has been a very long road. I am still taking assorted teaching tests and have one more to go. The state definitely doesn't make it easy. The good thing, is that my boys have seen me succeed. Through raising them and working three jobs, I am always busy,but I am home when they get home from school and they know in order to succeed, you have to get educated and work hard!
