Dawn's Story
I am still living in Oregon where I've been for 29 years. I am currently single. I have 3 children and 4 beautiful grandchildren (the loves of my life!). I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life right now, after becoming burned out of working for almost 20 years in the local school district in special education. I would actually like to continue working in some capacity with high-functioning autistic children (which is my area of expertise, and passion), just not in a school setting. off the beaten path and explore! I've been to Alaska (which I loved!) 3 times in the last few years...twice to visit my daughter, and once on a cruise. I much preferred visiting my daughter where we could take off and explore Alaska's rugged beauty on our own! I also enjoy visiting my son in Arizona where we've gone 4-wheeling in his Jeep to remote places in search of ghost towns and old abandoned mines, exploring the unique beauty of the American Southwest. Overall, life has been good to me....I just wish it'd slow down a little, cuz there's just so much more I want to see and do!
