Dayl's Story
After high school I moved to Boston and continued my education. I worked as a research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital to fund my education. I married Jim Hufford, an MIT graduate and we moved to his home town in Illinois where our first child was born. Sadly, he died of SIDS at the age of 3 months. After moving back to Massachusetts our daughter, Cathryn was born and our son, Dan. I completed my B.S. in psychology and clinical studies at Emmanuel College before graduating from Andover Newton Theological School with an M.Div. I was ordained as a U.C.C. clergy and while serving a parish I completed my D.Min. degree in psychology and clinical studies. ...Expand for more
I retired from parish ministry and began my private practice as a psychologist. I am currently semi-retired and have the delightful task of caring for my son's 2 little boys 2 days a week. My other two grandchildren (3- and 7-year old girls) live in Michigan where my daughter is a genetic epidemiologist and faculty member in the department of internal medicine at Wayne State University. I am still very active professionally and continue to teach and provide clinical services. I have wonderful memories of ESHS, especially my friends (Carol Olson, Joyce Newton, Glenola Bronson, and Betty Clayton). I am hoping to make contact with them to catch up on their adventures!
