Dayna's Story
Life
I'm married with no children (yet). I met my husband when I returned to school(Lamar) to get my Bachelors degree in art education. He was a professor (still is) and I was a student (not his though). We've been married for 3 years now. We live in Beaumont. We just built a house and now working on starting a family.
College
After high school graduation I enrolled at Lamar University as an undecided major. After toying with that for a few years I went on to Lamar Institute of Tech where I earned an associates in business. I worked for a while, them in 1999 I decided to return to Lamar and recieved a bachelors degree in Visual Arts with an all level teaching certification. Workplace
I currently work for a company called Molina Venture, who own several night clubs in the Beaumont and Lake Charles area. I'm in charge of accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, etc. I enjoy my job and have the 3 most wonderful bosses in the world who I've worked for for serveral years. However, my real passion is teaching children art and Sadly in the near future I will be leaving to finally put my degree to use. My bosses are generous enough to give me time off in the month of june to teach art camp for kids at the S.E. Texas Art Museum. This way I never lose touch with what I really enjoy doing and gain the experience that will help me when I do pursue my art teaching job.
