DeAnne's Story
I had a ‘74 MG in high school. A lot of people remembered me with that car. It WAS a fun little zippy thing. I was also remembered as probably the shortest senior in ‘83. I’m still short haha! (I crack myself up). But seriously, it’s never stopped me from enjoying life. In my life I’ve enjoyed a lot of outdoors when I’m not working. I’ve hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite and that, I have considered my biggest physical accomplishment. We have ridden our sport quads in the sand dunes for many years. Kayaked, fished (big and small). Enjoyed camping trips, cross country skiing, and riding our Harley’s. I have an ‘07 Harley Sporty trike…my husband has too many Harley’s. I think he went through a mid life thing. Hahahahaha. Many trips to Sturgis and we would like to take a trip to Glacie...Expand for more
r National Park in Montana (it’s on MY bucket list anyway). I had both knees replaced (at the same time) and a new shoulder (I fell from our camper…about 3 feet… and landed directly on my shoulder. Klutz.) And I STILL enjoy camping amazingly. My goal now is to get back into hiking and start cross country skiing again. I lived in San Leandro and Fremont until I was 45. Then my husband and I decided to move to North Dakota (where he was born). Winters are harsh some years but for the most part it’s a beautiful place to live if you just look & enjoy. If you knew me in high school give a shout out! Friend me on Instagram (deanneh1965) or Facebook (DeAnne Haustveit or DeAnne Garcia) There’s several SLZ people I’ve connected with…it’s good to reminisce and catch up. Take care & be blessed in 2022!
